They take THICK planks of fine Messmate timber and carefully select them for grain and character. Why? They don't want the finished product to look like some mish-mash of multiple kaleidoscopic colour tones and grains to detract from the piece. They match tones and grains, marry them together and then start sanding until the finish is ice smooth.... 

Then comes the lacquer... multiple coats of a light gloss gives it a crisp and hard wearing finish that brings all of that natural beauty to light.

The legs... the interesting part... the part that people see first... There are two options for the Metallico... The original and exquisitely odd "XY" Leg in black powder coated steel - Perfect for those wanting to make a statement.

Then, there's the classic "loop leg" design, made from the same eye catching Messmate and crafted into the perfect angle to hold the table up as a feature all its own! The loop leg takes up less space than the 'XY" leg, allowing dining chairs to more easily be tucked in and creating a more spacious dining experience. 

Add to the entire package the grain-match folded ends and you have the complete package...
